I Turned 40 & Conclusion to Picking a Partner
Turning 40 was hard for me y’all. There was a pretty big difference between where I thought I would be and where I am.
To be fair, 39 may have been my roughest year to date, and I also got a lot done. Here’s a recap:
- The work I was most proud of was erased from Federal Health websites, thanks DOGE
- I started my agency, it only took four years
- We marked one year in our new house
- Tag teaming who was sick in our house
- My husband having urgent surgery
- Complications from said surgery and a possible second surgery
- I gained 20 pounds
- I then lost 20 pounds
- Oh, and I picked a travel network
Yes, I did indeed make the tough decision and picked a network. I even decided to switch networks. You don’t need all the details, but I knew going in with my original decision that it would be very tough for me. I would need everything to go smoothly to hit the network’s sales goals. Guess what didn’t go smoothly. If you said anything and everything in life you are correct. The hardest part though was the pressure I was putting myself under. I knew I needed a change. So, I did.
I’m very proud to announce several partnerships. I’m partnering with Rainbow Getaways, a proud member of the community. That means I’m part of the Ensemble Network; don’t worry you don’t have to remember this. There’s no quiz after. I also joined the IGLTA (International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association). I now have experienced, vetted, and inclusive travel options I can connect y’all with. I can help you with almost any travel anywhere thanks to this network. In fact, I dare you to plan your next trip.
So, while I’m not where I wanted to be at 40, I’m pretty dang proud of where I’m at. This has truly been one of the most challenging and most rewarding years of my life. Thank you for being part of it.
