Week 3 New Logo and IGLTA

Week three and the rush to Palm Springs. You read that right, I’m going to PS for the first time. It’s such a gay hotspot, I’m surprised I haven’t been, but now I’m going for a good opportunity. It’s the IGLTA (International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association) Conference. I’ve never been and the timing is both too short and also perfect. Before I get too in the weeds though let me tell you what’s happened so far around the agency:

You can follow Thrive on socials now. It will be sporadic at first, but my plan is to be more consistent by the new year. @thriveglobaltravel on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn (or @alexrlarson for my personal account on LinkedIn). Are there any other socials y’all would like me/Thrive to be on?

Ok, cool and nervous about my logo. I’m putting it out there to see what y’all think. I felt like Thrive’s current logo was a bit flat, maybe even boring, but I still like it. I need to get this in time for business cards. Wo, typing that was such a moment of Pride. This is really happening.

Returning to the exciting topic of IGLTA travel conference for a moment. The organization of the event so far has been great and supportive. There’s a list of dozens maybe even more than a hundred suppliers to meet with. It’s so hard to narrow them down. At a moment like this it’s surreal that there are so many LGBTQ+ groups supporting us. I’ve narrowed it down to a few dozen and had a few rank Thrive already. The whole thing has me feeling so optimistic. I can’t wait to share it with you. Gotta get back to the pre-conference todo list though.
