Prioritizing Health

I know I said this would be the exciting conclusion to my last post, but life got in the way. This is going to be a quick one.

Ruby, our sweet and adorable black lab, got sick the end of March. If you are in charge of another being, be it human or otherwise, how do you stop worrying? I can go to the vet, do the tests, etc. but my brain is still going to jump to the worst scenario and I’m going to feel like the worst dog dad. I’m happy to report Ruby made a speedy, though it felt so slow, recovery just in time for me to go see family.

There’s never enough time when I go back to see friends and family. I squeezed in a little work. My reward? I brought back the best souvenir—Covid. The gift that keeps on giving.

In fact, I gave it to my husband. I’m so sorry about that. Just as I was able to start catching back up on all the stuff when I was sick my husband got sick so I could have even more to catch up on.

All this is to say, when you’re sick that’s all you can focus on. Life will keep going and it will be here when you get back.

Just as we were getting better, we were catching up on life, and I was starting to move forward with business my husband had emergency surgery on his shoulder. Surprise! Looks like life continues to have other plans.
